The BQC19 compiles data from the inventory of biological samples collected and clinical data from its participants.
All participants’ personal information is protected. It is stored on secure computer servers located at each recruitment site and is only accessible to the recruitment teams. A unique code called a BQC identifier is assigned to each participant in order to protect their identity and ensure their anonymity within the BQC19.

De-identified data is stored securely within Canada.
Clinical data associated with participants is managed by REDCap electronic CRF software, which is located within the secure CHUM premises. Data that has been de-identified and processed for quality purposes is then transferred to a secure centralized processing system on the cloud server. SecureData4Health, managed by the Canadian Computational Genomics Center (C3G) at McGill University. This server is the starting point for sharing data with research teams.
